You are cordially invited to join us for an evening of food and festivities at the farm for the whole family. Please join us on Saturday, August 6th for our first annual CSA appreciation dinner. Merriment will begin around 4p.m. with farm tours, horse drawn hay rides and more. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. featuring Osprey Farm grown vegetables, lamb, dry beans and corn. Bread and desert will be provided by our friends and neighbors at C&K Orchards Bakery. We will be serving beer and wine. The beer will be made by CSA member Justin Ego, co-owner and head brewer at Salem Ale Works (any vintners in the CSA?). A big thanks to trained chefs and CSA members Amy Church and Aaron Reber for preparing this year’s feast!
The farm is about a 30-45 minute drive from Salem depending on where you are coming from. If you would like to bring a tent and camp out after the dinner instead of making the trek home you are more than welcome. Rooms are also available at the Wildwood Hotel in downtown Willamina, which is a 5 minute drive from the farm (http://wildwoodhotelnw.com/rooms/).
Please R.S.V.P. by July 9th! When you R.S.V.P. please let us know if you have any food preferences or allergies (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, etc.) or if you are planning on camping out.
Directions to the farm from downtown Salem: Drive West over the Marion St. bridge. Keep left to continue onto OR-22 and drive for approximately 16.4 miles. Turn right onto OR-18 (there will be a big sign for Willamina). When you arrive in Willamina turn left onto Willamina Creek Rd as you cross the railroad tracks next to Coyote Joes restaurant. Continue past the Hampton sawmill for 3.6 miles. Turn left onto Fendall Rd (gravel road). Continue over the wooden bridge (slowly!). Turn right onto Mendenhall Rd, which becomes the driveway to the farm. Follow the signs to the parking area. Give us a call if you get lost! 503-779-7432
